Who We Are ▼
The Guelph & District Home Builders’ Association (GDHBA) is the voice for the residential construction industry in the Guelph and Wellington County area. We represent members from a wide range of businesses, including home builders, renovators, trade contractors, product suppliers, service professionals, realtors, financial specialists, and more.
In 2017, the GDHBA was proud to be honored as the local association of the year by the OHBA. Our award-winning members are among the finest home builders in Canada, earning accolades for interior decoration, home design, new builds, renovation, and green building. We are proud to stand at the forefront of the net zero movement — our members have constructed some of the first Net Zero Energy ready homes in the country.
What We Do ▼
The GDHBA was established to serve the needs of both residential construction businesses and homeowners in the Guelph community.
For our business members, we provide opportunities for education on industry trends, collaboration with other local organizations, and recognition for outstanding work in the community.
For homeowners, we offer a variety of resources to help them connect with reliable companies so they can feel confident about making informed decisions about their home.
How We Work ▼
The GDHBA is a non-profit organization governed by an elected Board of Directors and supported by a professional Executive Officer.
The GDHBA works in collaboration with both provincial and national bodies, the OHBA and the CHBA, in order to drive change at all three levels of government.
Our organization hosts events throughout the year, for both members and non-members, to provide opportunities for networking and education.
